History

The Oliver-Floyd Funeral home began in 1944 when Gladden and Pauline Oliver went into partnership with George Fisher owner of the Fisher Funeral Home in Ansonia, OH.

In 1958 the Oliver's opened a new funeral home in Greenville located at the corner of W. Main and Elm Streets. They were joined in the business by their 2 sons, Benton and Roger. In 1981 Roger took sole ownership of the funeral home and in April of 1994 opened the current facility on North Broadway. In 1998 the Ansonia home was closed and merged into the Greenville home.

In November of 2004 Roger sold the business to Joseph Floyd, who had joined the firm in June 1981 and manager of the Greenville home since June of 1989. This allowed the funeral home to continue as Greenville's only locally owned funeral home.

Joe has continued the tradition established by the Oliver's of friendly, personalized, affordable service with distinction.
